The island of Bora Bora

The island of Bora Bora, which is part of the French Polynesian islands in the Pacific ocean is absolutely spectacular. Surrounded by a barrier reef and a lagoon, it is a major international tourist destination. It's loaded with luxury resorts filled with people from all over the world who want to experience this extremely impressive island. There are two rising peaks in the centre of the island which are remnants of the extinct volcano that helped create this island which is
lined with coconut trees.

The economy of the island relies almost solely by the tourism industry. It's a picturesque tourist destination with overwater bungalows that are relatively inexpensive to stay in. Tourists can expect lots of great things on this island, and they can get around using bicycles and rental cars, as there is absolutely no public transportation on the island. Two-seater buggies can be hired and tourists can also rent motorboats.

Some of the most popular activities on the island are scuba diving and snorkelling. Expect to see lots of stingrays and sharks of different species around the water. A newer site to take in is the man-made motu, Motu Marfo, which is at one corner of the lagoon.

As for the climate, the summer months for this geographical location are from November to April, where most of the rainfall occurs. It's also accompanied by high humidity. The months with the least amount of rain are in August and September.

This should definitely be on everyone's bucket list as a place to visit at least once in their lifetimes.
